We are now looking for an experienced Lead Electrician / Electrical Site Supervisor to take responsibility for day-to-day site operations. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between project management and installation teams, with the opportunity to influence how work is planned, executed and monitored.
This role is ideal for a skilled electrician who enjoys leading others and understands what it takes to make large-scale installation projects work in practice.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading and coordinating day-to-day site activities. Working closely with project managers, site management, other contractors and installation teams, you will ensure that work progresses at the right pace and meets the required standards for quality and safety.
You will take a hands-on approach, establish clear working structures for the team and ensure everyone understands what needs to be done, when it needs to be completed and which standards must be met.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and allocating daily tasks across the installation team.
- Planning site activities in the short and medium term.
- Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with drawings, technical specifications and project quality requirements.
- Monitoring progress, staffing levels, material requirements and potential obstacles.
- Preparing work method statements and ensuring that installers have clear instructions and the right conditions to perform their work.
- Coordinating installation activities with project management and other trades on site.
- Identifying deviations and resolving practical issues before they affect the project schedule.
- Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with project safety procedures.
- Documenting completed work and reporting progress to project management.
- Contributing ideas to improve quality, productivity and our ways of working.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for an experienced electrician who has previously worked as a lead installer or site supervisor on medium-sized to large installation projects.
You are confident in your technical skills and comfortable making decisions in day-to-day site operations. You lead through clear communication, a hands-on approach and personal example, understanding that strong results are achieved through teamwork.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Relevant electrical qualifications or technical training.
- Several years of experience as an electrician or electrical installer.
- Proven experience in a lead installation or supervisory role on medium-sized to large projects.
- The ability to plan, allocate and follow up on the installation team's work.
- The ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, electrical schematics and project documentation.
- A strong focus on quality, safety and project progress.
- The ability to communicate confidently in English in day-to-day work.
- A structured, solution-oriented approach and the confidence to work with different trades and stakeholders on site.
Experience with fire alarm systems, detection systems, security systems, data centres or other technically demanding installations is an advantage. Experience working on international projects is also beneficial.
