Lead site operations. Build high-performing teams. Deliver complex projects.

About the Role

Ignease is growing and delivering technically advanced fire protection and safety systems for data centres and other mission-critical environments across Europe.

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to take overall responsibility for on-site execution of one of our major data centre projects in the Nordics, working for one of the world's leading hyperscale operators.

The project involves the installation of complex fire protection systems, including sprinklers, fire detection, gas suppression and related systems. You will lead the day-to-day site operations, bringing together people, planning and production to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role with significant responsibility for building and leading the site organisation. Working closely with project management, you will play a key role in driving project performance and contributing to continue the growth of Ignease in large-scale data centre projects across the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities

Lead site operations and build the team

  • Take ownership of day-to-day site execution, ensuring work is planned, coordinated and delivered efficiently.
  • Build, lead and develop the on-site organisation, scaling the team to meet project requirements.
  • Establish clear responsibilities, routines and ways of working to maintain productivity and accountability.

Drive planning and project delivery

  • Own short- and medium-term production planning, resource allocation and on-site staffing in coordination with project management.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule and take proactive action to address delays or bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, material deliveries and other trades to ensure a smooth flow of work.
  • Identify risks, resolve practical challenges and manage changes that may affect project delivery.

Manage cost, quality and safety

  • Monitor project costs, labour productivity and resource utilisation, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure installations meet technical specifications, quality requirements and agreed project standards.
  • Plan and coordinate inspections, testing and quality assurance throughout the different project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations, site procedures and client requirements.

Collaborate and communicate

  • Act as the main point of contact for the general contractor and other key stakeholders on site.
  • Work closely with project management to align site execution with overall project objectives.
  • Provide regular, accurate reporting on progress, costs, resources, risks and deviations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in project execution, team performance and working methods.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a confident and pragmatic leader who knows how to turn project plans into results on site. You combine strong organisational skills with a hands-on approach and understand what it takes to manage people, resources and competing priorities in a demanding construction environment.

You are comfortable taking responsibility, making decisions and addressing issues before they affect project performance. You lead by example, communicate clearly and know how to build a team that works towards common goals.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience leading site operations or managing the execution of medium-sized to large construction or installation projects.
  • Experience managing site teams, supervisors, subcontractors and other skilled personnel.
  • Strong skills in production planning, resource management and progress monitoring in a fast-paced project environment.
  • A solid understanding of project costs, labour productivity, quality control and site safety.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • A willingness to travel and work at project sites across the Nordics.

Experience from industrial, data centre or technically complex installation projects is highly relevant. A background in fire protection, sprinkler systems, fire detection or gas suppression is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Experience from international projects and working with major contractors or demanding clients is also beneficial.

Why Join Ignease?

At Ignease, you will have the opportunity to take a leading role in some of the most technically demanding and exciting data centre projects in the Nordics.

We offer:

  • A key leadership role with real ownership of site execution and project performance.
  • Large-scale, technically advanced projects in mission-critical environments for leading hyperscale operators.
  • The opportunity to build and lead teams, shaping how work is organised and delivered on site.
  • Close collaboration with project management and experienced specialists across the business.
  • A growing international environment with short decision-making paths and room to make an impact.
  • Opportunities for development as Ignease expands its project portfolio and strengthens its delivery capabilities.

At Ignease, successful projects depend on strong site leadership. We are looking for someone who can bring people together, create structure in a demanding environment and turn plans into high-quality results.
